On October 14, the leader of the Department of Irrigation and Climate Change (Hue City Department of Agriculture and Environment) said that there is currently no official warning about storm No. 12 from the National Hydrometeorological Forecasting Agency.
This leader said that recently, some information has been circulating on social networks saying that storm No. 12 will enter the Quang Tri - Hue area in the near future. However, these are unofficial forecast sources that have not been confirmed by domestic or international professional agencies such as the Philippines.
According to the forecast of the Hue City Hydrometeorological Station, from October 14-15, the weather in the area will only have scattered showers, generally stable. From October 16-18, the low trough will operate stably, sunny during the day, scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.
Notably, from October 19-22, the cold air shifting to the East combined with the low trough is forecast to cause a widespread heavy rain in the area. Cloudy weather, moderate rain, heavy rain, some places with very heavy rain, decreased temperature, cold weather.
The total rainfall for the 10 days, from October 13-22, is forecast to reach 150-250mm, some areas may exceed 300mm.
Specialized agencies recommend that people closely monitor the official weather forecast, proactively prevent heavy rain and strong winds, and not spread false information that causes panic in the community.
