On June 15, the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Province Police said that the unit had just received an emotional thank you letter from Mr. Lo Van Tien (residing in Chau Thang Commune, Quy Chau District) expressing his gratitude to the traffic police working group on duty in the area for saving his son's life during the flood.
According to the letter, on the morning of the same day, after returning from work and not seeing their son, Mr. Tien and his relatives flocked to look for him. Worried because the flood water is rising after the storm, the family searched for many hours but had no results.
When he heard the shout of someone drowning in the fast-flowing river, he ran over and saw Senior Lieutenant Ta Quang Quyet - a traffic police officer in Quy Chau area - risking his life to plunge into the rushing water to save the child.
"When our family arrived, my child was successfully given first aid by Mr. Quyet. There are no words to describe the family's joy. Our family is extremely grateful to Senior Lieutenant Ta Quang Quyet, Mr. Tien wrote.
It is known that after being rescued, the child's health has stabilized. The image of Senior Lieutenant Quyet bravely swimming out into the floodwaters to bring the child to shore safely was recorded by the people and widely spread on social networks, making many people moved and admire him.
The Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Province Police shared the entire thank you document to spread the spirit of serving the people.
