According to the families of the two children, on the afternoon of May 24, when everyone was going to work, H.Q.D. (born in 2019) and V.H.T.A. (born in 2018) - are brothers who are playing at home. After that, the two children took out half a bottle of gasoline to burn the ant when the fire suddenly broke out.
Hearing her children cry, Ms. Ha Thi Khuyen (D.'s mother) was harvesting rice not far away, when she ran home and saw the children all over the place.
Immediately, Ms. Khuyen took a wet shirt on the children's heads to put out the fire, then shouted that everyone would take them to Nhu Thanh District Hospital, then transfer them to Thanh Hoa Children's Hospital.
Here, the doctors diagnosed D. with grade III burns, covering 15%, mainly in the face and right forearm. Child A. suffered third-degree burns with an area of up to 60%, including the entire back, abdomen, palms, groin, genitals, buttocks and thighs.
Due to his serious condition, A. was transferred to the Emergency - Intensive Care and Poison Control Department. Currently, the two pediatric patients are being cared for and actively monitored.
