The Thai Nguyen - Bac Ninh - Phu Tho regional liaison road project started in mid-2022 with a total investment of more than 4,200 billion VND.
The project has a length of 42km. The starting point of the road is Pho Yen City (old) and ends at the intersection with provincial road 261 (Dai Tu).
According to PV's records, after a long period of construction, the entire route has basically been formed, and many areas have completed road surface, median strip, and lighting systems.
At the construction site, workers and machinery and equipment are mobilized to deploy the final sprint of the project. Construction work is concentrated at 3 large bridge projects including the railway overpass, the Cong River overpass and the National Highway 3 overpass.
Contractors are urgently completing the bridge deck, expansion joints, railings, lighting system and auxiliary technical items to synchronize the entire route before putting it into operation.
According to the investor's report, the total construction volume of 3 large bridge projects currently reaches 97.04%. Of which, the railway overpass reached 98.29% of the volume, the Song Cong overpass reached 97.2% and the National Highway 3 overpass reached 94.19%.
The main items of the project are currently basically completed with roadbed reaching 99.9% of volume, crushed stone base reaching 99.2%, asphalt concrete pavement reaching 98.37%.
Auxiliary items such as drainage systems, people's underpasses, green trees, sidewalks and traffic safety reached about 98% of the volume, especially the leveled retaining wall item reached about 90%.
Accumulated value of the total project implementation volume currently reaches more than 2,462 billion VND, equivalent to 97.1% of the contract value.
After being completed and put into operation, the Thai Nguyen - Bac Ninh - Phu Tho inter-provincial road will help synchronize transport infrastructure. At the same time, it will increase regional connectivity, opening up opportunities to attract investment, develop trade, services and local industry.
According to the orientation to 2030, Thai Nguyen province continues to prioritize the development of strategic traffic routes connecting with Bac Ninh, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang and many inter-regional expressways to create momentum for economic development and urban space reconstruction.
The locality also orients the development of a multi-polar urban model, accelerating investment in transport infrastructure, digital infrastructure and industrial park connection routes, gradually forming an industrial, service and smart city ecosystem.
