National Highway 6 upgrade project: Ward proposes solutions to handle cases of not handing over land

Hanoi - For cases of intentionally delaying the handover of land for the National Highway 6 upgrade project, Chuong My ward will apply handling measures according to regulations.

Information from Chuong My Ward People's Committee, Hanoi, said that the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 6, Ba La - Xuan Mai section is one of the key traffic projects of Hanoi city, playing the role of a strategic connecting axis between the inner city area and satellite cities, western provinces and the Northwest region.

The project implementation not only has the meaning of developing purely transport infrastructure, but also creates a new development space, promoting economic restructuring, improving urban quality and people's lives.

In Chuong My ward, the project passes through a length of more than 3.6km, involving hundreds of households, many organizations and a large area of recovered land. This is a very large and complex workload, requiring the synchronous involvement of the entire political system and especially the consensus and support of the people.

The practical implementation in the past time shows that where people agree and actively coordinate, the progress of site clearance is accelerated, and projects are implemented soon, thereby bringing practical benefits to the people in the area.

Conversely, places that are still slow and lack cooperation will directly affect the overall progress, prolonging construction time, causing waste of resources and affecting the long-term interests of the community.

The State's land recovery to implement socio-economic development projects for national and public interests is a correct policy, which has been clearly stipulated in the 2024 Land Law. In the process of implementation, the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of the people are always guaranteed.

According to Chuong My Ward People's Committee, households and individuals whose land is recovered will be compensated and supported for land and assets attached to land in accordance with regulations; consider arranging resettlement for eligible cases; supporting stabilizing life, production, and career change; being public and transparent about all compensation and support plans and having the right to contribute opinions.

Local authorities are also actively coordinating with city departments and branches to remove arising difficulties and obstacles, especially issues related to land origin, resettlement arrangement, and ensuring social security after land recovery. This clearly demonstrates the State's responsibility in not allowing people to be disadvantaged when implementing the project.

However, Chuong My Ward People's Committee affirmed that rights always go hand in hand with obligations. All organizations and individuals with land within the project scope are responsible for complying with land acquisition decisions and handing over land according to regulations.

Chuong My Ward People's Committee requests people to proactively coordinate in counting and confirming the origin of land; seriously implement the dismantling of works, moving assets; hand over land in accordance with regulations.

Consciously complying not only shows a sense of civic responsibility but also contributes to ensuring project progress, avoiding unwanted handling measures.

For cases of intentional delay and non-compliance, the Ward People's Committee will resolutely apply handling measures according to the provisions of law, including organizing land recovery coercion. All violations will be held responsible before the law, and at the same time incur economic damage and rights compared to cases of compliance with regulations.

When the National Highway 6 project is completed, it will open up strong development opportunities for the locality, create favorable conditions for trade, attract investment, improve land value, and improve the living environment. That benefit is not only short-term but also long-term for future generations.
