After more than 1 month of searching at Le Thi Rieng Park, Ho Chi Minh City functional forces have collected 155 sets of martyrs' remains and many artifacts.

According to a report from the Repatriation Team of Martyrs' Remains under the Ho Chi Minh City Command, from June 23, 2026 to the end of July 30, 2026, the entire force has successfully discovered and repatriated 155 sets of martyrs' remains.

Among these, 133 sets of remains were found in separate form and 22 sets were located in 4 collective grave locations (including 2 locations in the grave ditch of Area A and 2 locations in the grave ditch of Area B).

In July 30 alone, at the second search location (Zone B), the repatriation team discovered and exhumed 5 more sets of remains, of which 4 sets were found along with artifacts.

Also on July 30, the units expanded the scope with a volume of more than 22m3 of soil being discharged at the tomb ditch of Zone B to access deeper into suspected areas. Because the excavation area is located close to the lake shore, the dug pit is about 2m deep and less than 1m from the water's edge, the force must proactively build dykes and continuously pump water out.

At the same time, the Ho Chi Minh City Command has installed a large tarpaulin system to shield this grave ditch, in order to ensure safety, create favorable conditions for construction and maintain absolute solemnity when bringing the remains of heroic martyrs to the ground.

In order to resolutely not miss any clues, the Ho Chi Minh City Command said it is urgently preparing the necessary conditions to proceed with relocating the monument to heroic martyrs inside the park. This plan will help clear the ground, thereby expanding the excavation area in the first grave trench area (Zone A).

Promoting the search shows high determination to soon fully repatriate the remains of heroic martyrs, bringing them back in the gratitude, respect and deep affection of the Party Committee, government, armed forces and people of the City.
