As of the afternoon of September 30, authorities in Dak Nong province had yet to find the woman suspected of jumping off a bridge to commit suicide.
Earlier, at around 10am the same day, in Quang Thanh ward, Gia Nghia city, people discovered a woman walking a bicycle on Nghia Tin bridge.
Moments later, the woman left her sandals and bicycle on the bridge and jumped into the stream. A nearby resident’s security camera also recorded the woman jumping over the bridge and falling into the stream.
According to locals, this area is the Dak Nong stream flowing to Gia Nghia Lake. Initial information shows that the woman who jumped off the bridge is Ms. P (born in 1957), residing in Nghia Hoa residential group, Quang Thanh ward.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Dak Nong Province Police sent a rescue boat and nearly 10 officers and soldiers to the scene to search.
However, due to strong currents, large search area, and murky water, authorities are facing many difficulties in the search.
