Previously, in the afternoon of April 7, the Fire and Rescue Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police received a report that a man was missing on the Cai River, passing through Phuoc Luong village, Dien Tho commune, Khanh Hoa province.
Immediately after that, rescue forces were dispatched to the scene to search for the victim.
Initial identification of the victim is Mr. Phan Sinh N. (born in 1989, permanently residing in An Lac ward, Ho Chi Minh City). At about 4 pm on April 7, relatives discovered Mr. N. appearing in the Doi bridge area on Provincial Road 2, passing through Phuoc Luong village, Dien Tho commune (Khanh Hoa).
When relatives called, Mr. N. suddenly ran down to the bank of the Cai River and jumped down. After getting into the river, Mr. N. swam to the middle of the stream but showed signs of exhaustion and quickly disappeared into the water.
Professional rescue forces coordinated with local forces and relatives to search through the night but still have not found the victim's whereabouts.
Currently, functional agencies are still organizing searches for victims along the Cai River area through the area and surrounding areas.
