According to the victim's family, Mr. T.D.H (born in 1988, residing in Ha Lam ward, Quang Ninh province) and his son went swimming at Hon Gai beach, Ha Long ward, Quang Ninh province yesterday afternoon (July 26).
After 6pm - the time the beach closed, the beach management staff saw that only their son was still on the beach, waiting for his father. After that, the child was taken to the ward and reported on the media, as well as social networks.
Thanks to that, the family learned and came to pick him up.
According to the authorities, the possibility of Mr. T.D.H drowning is very high, because the motorbike and phone were still parked at the parking lot and his son was still there, so it is unlikely that Mr. T.D.H would leave it somewhere.
Since last night, the authorities have searched the beaches and surrounding waters, but so far there have been no results.
Currently, the local government has invited the 116 Rescue Team - who have just finished searching for the bodies of the victims in the Ha Long Bay tourist boat capsize - to join the search.

A representative of Rescue Team 116 said that the vehicles had been brought ashore since yesterday afternoon and evening to hold a meeting to say goodbye to return, but received information that there were drowning and missing people so they stayed.
According to Mr. T.D.H's family, Mr. T.D.H swam quite well, but it could be because he did not wear a life jacket and had cramps, while yesterday afternoon, there were many people going swimming at Hon Gai beach.
The rescue team here said that it is often advisable to remind people and tourists, even those who are good at swimming, to still use buoys and life jackets to prevent accidents, because when there are many people, it is difficult to detect drowning cases.
