At about 13:00 on July 10, rescue forces discovered the body of the last victim trapped in the cabin of ship HP-4914 in the Ban Sen sea area.
Previously, at about 2 pm on July 9, ship HP-4914 suddenly capsized while operating in the sea area of Ban Sen.
At the time of the incident, there were 5 people on board.
Immediately after receiving the news, functional forces of Quang Ninh province and Van Don special zone mobilized personnel and vehicles to approach the scene, organize rescue and search for victims.
Three people were rescued and taken to Van Don Regional General Hospital for emergency treatment.
The other two are missing.
On the afternoon of July 9, functional forces found the body of one victim. The search for the remaining person was deployed immediately that night but encountered many difficulties due to unfavorable weather conditions.
On the morning of July 10, the forces continued to zone off, organize diving at the location where the ship capsized, and expand the search scope.
At about 1 pm on the same day, functional forces found the body of the last victim in the ship's cabin.
Functional agencies are completing related procedures and investigating the cause of the accident.
