On June 1, information from functional forces of Lao Cai province said that the bodies of two missing children in the Thia stream area were found after many hours of organizing searches throughout the night.
Previously, at about 10 pm on May 31, the Fire and Rescue Team No. 2, Lao Cai Provincial Police received a report about two children missing after going out to play and not returning home.
The two children were identified as Ha Anh D. (born 2017, residing in Pa Xom residential group, Trung Tam ward) and Ha Anh P. (born 2020, residing in Phieng village, Van Chan commune).
Initial information, in the afternoon of May 31, the two brothers invited each other to go out. Until the evening, not seeing the children return, the family organized a search and discovered a pair of sandals left on the bank of Thia stream, passing through Cau Thia residential group, so they reported it to the authorities.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Fire and Rescue Team of Area No. 2 coordinated with the Police and the Military Command of the Central Ward to mobilize forces and vehicles to deploy searches along the Thia stream area.
During the scene examination, functional forces found Ha Anh P. at a location about 100m away from where the sandals were found.
The search for Ha Anh D. is facing many difficulties due to darkness, limited visibility and complicated water flow. Rescue forces have used high-powered lights, rafts and many specialized vehicles to expand the search area downstream.
After many hours of overnight efforts, at more than 7 am on June 1, functional forces found baby Ha Anh D.
Functional agencies and local authorities are completing necessary procedures, handing over the bodies of the victims to their families for funeral arrangements according to regulations.
