Body of missing child found in Quang Tri

    Quang Tri - After a period of searching, the authorities found the body of a child swept away by water while passing through a spillway in Quang Trach commune.

    On the morning of November 1, the People's Committee of Quang Trach commune (Quang Tri province) said that the child's body was discovered on the night of October 31, about 100m from the accident site. The authorities have handed over the body to the family for funeral arrangements.

    Previously, at around 2:30 p.m. on October 30, 3 children in Huong Phuong village (Quang Trach commune) passed through the spillway and were suddenly swept away by floodwaters. 2 students were rescued, and 1 student is missing.

    Immediately after the incident, local authorities and people mobilized forces and means to organize the search.
