Woman missing on Se Pon river, body found after 1 week

Quang Tri - The woman's body was found on the Se Pon River after 7 days of being missing.

On October 31, the People's Committee of Lao Bao commune (Quang Tri province) confirmed that at 2:00 a.m. the same day, people discovered the body of a woman on the Se Pon river through Nam Xuan Duc village (Lao Bao commune).

The victim's identity was identified as H.T.H (born in 2000, from Thuan 5 village, lia commune, Quang Tri province; living with her husband in Ma Hat village, Ka Top - Ma Hat village cluster, Se Pon district, Savannakhet province, Laos).

Before that, Ms. H.T.H visited her parents in Thuan 5 village, at 6:45 p.m. on October 25, returning to her husband's family in Ma Hat village (Laos).

On the way back by small boat, it unfortunately capsized and went missing on the Se Pon River in the Ma Hat village area (Laos) opposite Vietnam in Long Quy village, Lao Bao commune, Quang Tri province.

After the incident, the local authorities of Lao Bao commune, lia commune, along with functional forces and the victim's family, have been searching for the Se Pon river for many days now.
