On the afternoon of December 2, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Senior Lieutenant Lai Ngoc Son - Chief of Nam Luc Commune Police confirmed that the body of worker Dinh Van Soan, who went missing on November 29 while cleaning up trash on Nam Ton Bridge, had been found.
According to Senior Lieutenant Lai Ngoc Son, after 4 days missing, the male worker's body was found at around 1:00 p.m. today (December 2).
The location was found about 4 km downstream of the Chay River from the foot of Nam Ton Bridge.
Currently, Nam Luc commune police are protecting the scene to investigate the cause of the incident.
Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, at 7:30 a.m. on November 29, Mr. Dinh Van Soan (born in 1970, residing in residential group 1, Phong Hai Farm town, Bao Thang district) was a worker of Lao Cai Bridge Construction Joint Stock Company, cleaning up trash on Nam Ton bridge, the section flowing through Coc Lau and Nam Luc communes. At around 5:50 p.m. the same day, his family went to Nam Ton bridge to search but could not find him.
At the scene, tools such as axes, machetes, safety ropes, cloth pants, jackets were found in the middle of the bridge, along with a motorbike. Along with that, the authorities also found a rope ladder hooked down to the bridge pier, and a sack of goods under the bridge.
