After nearly 2 days of searching, at around 5:00 p.m. on December 24, the authorities of Khanh Hoa province discovered and recovered the body of a young man who had gone missing after falling into the river from Dao Long 2 bridge, in Ninh Phuoc commune.
The victim's body was found near the bank of the Dinh River, about 650m southeast of Dao Long 2 Bridge.
After completing the necessary procedures, the authorities handed over the body to the family for funeral arrangements.
Previously, at around 2:00 a.m. on December 23, the Khanh Hoa Provincial 114 Command Information Center received a report of a young man falling into the river in the Dao Long 2 bridge area, Ninh Phuoc commune.
Immediately after receiving the information, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 8 (Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police) mobilized vehicles and officers and soldiers to quickly arrive at the scene to carry out the search.
Through initial verification, the victim was identified as Mr. Nguyen Hai D. (born in 2007, residing in Thuan Hoa village, Ninh Phuoc commune, Khanh Hoa province).
From dawn on December 23, the authorities mobilized a motorboat, organized many search lanes in the Dinh River area, each lance consisting of about 15 officers and soldiers, closely coordinating with Ninh Phuoc Commune Police to expand the scope of the search.
