Previously, on the morning of December 23, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PCCC and CNCH) of Dong Nai Province Police received a report from Mr. T.P.S (the ship manager), reporting that a ship carrying gravel had sunk at an inland waterway wharf in Group 7, Quarter 6-7, Trang Dai Ward, Dong Nai Province.
At the time of the ship sinking, Mr. S. suspected that one victim was trapped inside the ship.
Immediately after receiving the report, the leaders of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department quickly mobilized forces and vehicles to the scene to organize the search and rescue work.
At the scene, through reconnaissance, assessment of the situation and identification of the victim's death, the Commander of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force deployed a diving formation to approach the ship's cockpit area to search for victims.
After a period of urgent searching, the authorities found and brought the victim's body ashore to hand over to the authorities and the family to organize procedures according to regulations.
