On the morning of December 10, news from Vung Ang Border Guard Station (Ha Tinh) - said that the unit had received information thanks to support and coordination in searching for 9 fishermen on fishing boat number NA 98687-TS that sank about 50 nautical miles from Vung Ang coast.
However, the search was difficult due to the location of the sunken ship far from shore, while the search vehicle of Vung Ang Border Guard limited its ability to go far at sea with big waves and strong winds.
Currently, the Coast Guard Region 1 Command has mobilized Coast Guard vessels to organize the search, and at the same time notified cargo ships and fishermen at sea to support the search.
Previously, at around 1:30 p.m. on December 9, the family reported that the fishing boat NA 98687-TS captained by Mr. Ho Sy H (born in 1991, residing in Tan Mai ward, Nghe An province) sank while fishing at coordinates 18°3051N - 107°0416E, about 50 nautical miles east-northeast of Vung Ang port. At the time of the accident, there were 9 crew members on board.
