On the morning of November 6, the People's Committee of Mai Hoa commune (Tuyen Hoa district, Quang Binh province) said that they had just found the body of a man who was swept away and died by the flood.
At 6:45 a.m. the same day, the body of Mr. Cao Van Cuong (53 years old, residing in Bac Hoa village, Mai Hoa commune) was found about 150m from where Mr. Cuong went missing.
The family has brought Mr. Cuong's body home to prepare for the funeral.
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, at around 4:30 p.m. on November 5, a 5th grade student at Xuan Mai Primary School (Mai Hoa Commune) was swept away by the floodwaters while passing through a flooded area in Bac Hoa Village (Mai Hoa Commune).
Seeing that, Mr. Cao Van Cuong (born in 1971, residing in Bac Hoa village) jumped into the water and saved the student. After that, Mr. Cuong was unfortunately swept away by the water and went missing.
