On July 30, the Fire and Rescue Police Department of Son La province said that functional forces had found the body of victim D. V. S (born 1976, residing in Ta Khoa commune, Son La province), about 35km from the accident site in the direction of the Da River flow.
Previously, at about 6:45 pm on July 27, in the Ta Khoa bridge area, Bac Yen commune, Son La province, Mr. S. unfortunately slipped and fell into the Da River and went missing.
Immediately after receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police Department of Son La Provincial Police mobilized the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 5 and specialized vehicles to the scene, coordinating with Bac Yen Commune Police, Ta Khoa Commune Police, Commune Military Command and local forces to organize searches.
Functional forces deployed many search teams along both banks of the river, using boats and canoes to survey the water surface, check areas with whirlpools, alluvial grounds, rock crevices and locations where victims were likely swept away or trapped.
In the days from July 28 to 30, despite heavy rain, strong currents, and dangerous terrain, rescue work faced many difficulties, the forces still maintained continuous search, while expanding the scope downstream.
On July 30, the victim's body was discovered in the Tang village area, Chieng Sai commune, Son La province, about 35km from Ta Khoa bridge. After salvaging, functional forces completed the procedures according to regulations and handed over the body to the family for funeral arrangements.
