On the afternoon of July 17, the People's Committee of Duc Nhan commune, Phu Tho province informed that the rescue team had found the body of Ms. Xa Thi T. (born in 1984), who was swept away by floodwaters on the afternoon of July 15 in the locality.
The victim's body was found at 12:30 on July 17, in the Nhup stream hydropower area, Co Phung hamlet, Tan Pheo commune - about 11km from the accident scene.
Previously, at around 5:40 p.m. on July 15, Ms. Xa Thi T., a farmer living in Chum Nua hamlet, Duc Nhan commune, was unfortunately swept away by floodwaters.
Immediately after the incident, the Duc Nhan commune government urgently coordinated with functional forces including police, military, militia, provincial rescue team and relatives to organize a search all day and night. After 43 hours of searching, the victim's body was brought back and handed over to his family for funeral arrangements.
Currently, the local government is continuing to support the family to complete related procedures. This is a warning about the risk of risks during the rainy season in mountainous areas.
