17th body found in landslide in Bac Ha

    Lao Cai ​​- Authorities have found the 17th body in the landslide in Nam Tong village, Nam Luc commune, Bac Ha district.

    On October 24, information from the People's Committee of Bac Ha district, at around 7:30 this morning, the authorities found the body of Ms. Ma Thi X (born in 1991, H'Mong ethnic group), buried in the landslide that killed and left 18 people missing in Nam Tong village, Nam Luc commune.

    Ma Thi X's body was found about 100 meters from her family's home, buried more than 7 meters deep in rocks and soil.

    Currently, the authorities have completed the procedures to hand over the body to the family for funeral arrangements.

    This is the 17th body in the landslide in Nam Tong. Local authorities are currently trying to find the last victim.

    Previously, a landslide occurred on the afternoon of September 9 in Nam Tong village, Nam Luc commune, Bac Ha district, Lao Cai province, leaving 18 people dead and missing.
