On April 6, after receiving information about the local government allowing the construction of a transformer station in the campus of Quy Loc Secondary School (in Quy Loc town, Yen Dinh district), Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Do Minh Tuan directed Yen Dinh district to clarify the above incident.
According to the representative of Yen Dinh District Electricity, the above project is not the project of the electricity industry. This project is due to the construction of the road and is entangled in a transformer station of the electricity industry. To clear the ground, the district has built a new transformer station (in the school campus) to replace the old transformer station.
The representative of Yen Dinh District Electricity also added that no matter where the transformer station is located, it must be approved by the agency and people in that area. Because later, even if the project is completed, when the electricity industry collects it, if it is found to be unsafe, it will not be accepted and no connection points will be granted.

Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, in recent days, parents with children studying at Quy Loc Secondary School (Quy Loc town, Yen Dinh district, Thanh Hoa province) have felt upset and insecure when right at the school premises, the construction unit has sent excavators to dig foundations and erect columns to build a transformer station. This poses a potential danger if the above project is completed and put into operation.
Talking to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Pham Hong Duc - Principal of Quy Loc Secondary School, Yen Dinh District, Thanh Hoa Province - said that at the end of March 2025, the People's Committee of Quy Loc Town surveyed the location of the transformer station and selected it within the campus of Quy Loc Secondary School.
Realizing that the location of the transformer station here was inappropriate and poses a potential danger to more than 600 students and teachers, the school submitted a document to the People's Committee of Quy Loc town (Yen Dinh district) requesting not to place the transformer station at this location.
Also according to the representative of Quy Loc Secondary School, while the agencies did not have any documents or decisions on the construction of the above -mentioned transformer station to the school, on April 2.4, the construction unit sent an excavator to break a fence, scooping, building columns ...
Immediately afterwards, the school requested the construction unit to temporarily stop. However, later, the town leaders came and continued the construction. Up to now, the construction unit has completed the column erection.
