3 senior military officers promoted to the rank of Senior Lieutenant General
On the afternoon of August 1, at the Presidential Palace, President Luong Cuong, Chairman of the National Defense and Security Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, chaired a ceremony to present the Decision to promote the rank of Senior Lieutenant General to senior officers of the People's Army and the People's Public Security.
In which, the military rank from Lieutenant General to Senior Lieutenant General will be for the following officers: Thai Dai Ngoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army; Pham Truong Son - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army; Truong Thien To - Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.
Announcing and handing over decisions on personnel and professional military work
On July 31, in Da Nang, the Political Department of Military Region 5 organized an announcement and awarding of decisions on personnel and professional military work.
According to the decisions of the Ministry of National Defense and the Military Region, the Political Department has awarded decisions to enjoy retirement benefits and raise salaries for 36 officers and professional soldiers.
Of which, 6 officers are entitled to pension benefits according to Decree 178; 7 officers are given early salary increase and are promoted to professional soldier ranks; 23 officers are given salary increase and are promoted to professional soldier ranks.

On July 28-29, the Lai Chau Provincial Military Party Committee held the 17th Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term with the participation of 169 outstanding Party members.
The first conference of the Provincial Military Party Committee Executive Committee elected 6 personnel to the Standing Committee of the Party Committee; elected 2 Deputy Party Committee Secretaries including Colonel Trieu Kim Thang - Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command and Colonel Dang Vinh Thuy - Commander of the Provincial Military Command; 7 personnel to the Provincial Military Party Committee Inspection Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
Viettel Chairman Tao Duc Thang promoted to Lieutenant General
The Ministry of National Defense has just held a ceremony to announce and hand over the decision to promote the rank of Lieutenant General to Mr. Tao Duc Thang - Chairman of Viettel Group.
Previously, in February 2022, Mr. Tao Duc Thang held the position of Chairman of Viettel Group.
