On March 4, the Office of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee sent a document to the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee conveying the directing opinions of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, related to information that many houses in Dong Nai are precarious on the edge of the abyss when building DT 753 road in Tan Loi commune.
According to reports, the construction of lowering the roadbed elevation in the project to upgrade and expand DT 753 road section passing through Tan Loi commune has turned the front of people's houses into a deep abyss with vertical earth walls, and people are living in fear.
Under the order of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Office transferred the above information to the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee for the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee to direct relevant agencies and units to urgently inspect, handle, clarify the content of the newspaper, and ensure safety for people and vehicles participating in traffic on the route.
The results of inspection and handling will be reported to the Standing Committee of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee before March 9.
Regarding the incident, also on March 4, the Department of Construction of Dong Nai province proposed that the Provincial People's Committee direct the temporary suspension of the construction of the lower ground elevation section of the DT 753 road project (from km10+200 to km10+550, section through Tan Loi commune) to prevent the risk of landslides in the area.
At the same time, the Department proposed that the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee direct the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to coordinate with the Tan Loi Commune People's Committee to have solutions to immediately relocate households to ensure the safety of life and property of households.
Through site inspection, functional agencies recorded that the construction section of people's houses located precariously (from Km10+200 to Km10+550) has been completed with crushed stone baseline sections from 12 - 14m wide. At the construction site, 8 households were affected by the construction of the project with a height difference of about 5m - 10m.
