HUE - On the morning of October 29, floodwaters in Hue receded but heavy rain appeared, with a risk of widespread flooding.

According to the Hue City Hydrometeorological Station, in the past 24 hours (from 8:00 a.m. on October 28 to 8:00 a.m. on October 29), there has been heavy to very heavy rain in the area. Rainfall in the plains is generally from 50 - 120mm, some places are higher such as Nam Dong 151.4mm, Thuong Nhat 195.8mm and Hong Trung 212.6mm.

It is forecasted that from the morning of October 29 to the morning of October 31, Hue City will continue to have moderate rain, heavy rain, and very heavy rain in some places. Total rainfall in the plains is generally 50 - 100mm, in some places over 150mm; in mountainous areas 100 - 200mm, in some places over 300mm.

From October 31 to November 1, Hue City is forecast to continue to have moderate to very heavy rain. In early November, heavy rain in the area was still complicated.

Heavy rain is at risk of causing flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas, along rivers and streams such as A Luoi, Nam Dong, Binh Dien, Khe Tre, Phu Loc, Loc An, Chan May - Lang Co... At the same time, there is a risk of widespread flooding in low-lying areas, downstream rivers and inner-city areas of Hue City.

The Hydrometeorological Station warns that it is necessary to be on guard against heavy rain with an intensity of over 50mm/hour or 100mm/3 hours that can cause serious flooding in urban areas.

As of this morning, the water level of the Bo River had dropped below alert level 3, the Huong River was still 3.87m.

Local authorities advise people not to be subjective when the water recedes, to prevent unfortunate accidents from occurring. Weather developments from now until the end of October 2025 are still very complicated.
