HUE - In the face of rising floods, Hue City Police mobilized forces to support isolated people and tourists.

On October 28, in the face of rising floods, Hue City Police quickly mobilized forces to support people and tourists who were isolated in the area.

At Hue Hotel (No. 1/142 Nguyen Sinh Cung, Hue City), there are currently about 50 working guests and 10 students from the highlands staying temporarily. Due to the floodwaters rising nearly 1m, causing the area to be isolated, without power and food, the hotel has called for emergency support.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Logistics Department of Hue City Police promptly delivered drinking water, instant noodles and essential necessities, helping tourists and students temporarily stabilize and wait for the water to recede.

At the same time, Phu Vang Commune Police visited, encouraged and supported households in the Cong Quan area, Phu Vang Commune - which is isolated due to prolonged heavy rain. The police force provided instant noodles, drinking water and essential necessities, while grasping the living situation, instructing people on measures to ensure safety while the water was still deeply flooded.

A representative of Phu Vang Commune Police said that the unit will be on duty 24/7, coordinating with functional forces to monitor flood developments and be ready to respond when situations arise.

The force has deployed a large capacity pump to drain water, contributing to reducing flooding and ensuring traffic safety in the city center.

Thuan Hoa Ward Police also promptly supported two French tourists and a tour guide trapped on Phan Chu Trinh Street to their safe accommodation.
