On September 25, the Ho Chi Minh City Inspectorate held a draw conference to select people whose assets and income will be verified in the second phase of 2025.
The three units selected for the draw include: Department of Justice, Department of Tourism and Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies.
The Department of Justice has 72 people subject to declaration, of which 68 are department heads, deputy heads and equivalent; 4 people hold the title of specialist and accountant. The Department of Tourism has 19 members, including 18 department leaders and 1 specialist.
The Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies has 17 members, including 13 department leaders and 4 specialists and accountants.
From the above list, the conference drawn out 11 individuals to verify assets and income. Previously, in the first phase (May 2025), the Ho Chi Minh City Inspectorate conducted verification with 66 people in 19 units.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Bui Duy Hien - Deputy Chief Inspector of the Standing Inspectorate of Ho Chi Minh City Inspectorate affirmed that verifying asset and income declarations is a regular task to check and clarify the authenticity, completeness and clarity of the declaration, as well as the explanation of the origin of assets and additional income.
This activity not only contributes to preventing corruption but also raises awareness and responsibility of cadres, civil servants and public employees in declaring, publicizing and controlling assets and income, gradually affirming the important role of this work in preventing and combating negativity.
Mr. Hien emphasized that the drawing and verification process must be carried out objectively, honestly, with information security, and without infringing on the legitimate rights and interests of the verified person.
