Three-no" foods still rampant, Ho Chi Minh City tightens inspections

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Market Management Sub-Department, the situation of smuggled goods, goods of unknown origin, especially food, is still complicated, affecting public health, reducing market confidence and creating an unhealthy competitive environment. Common violations are trading in "three-no" goods (without origin, without invoices, without labels).

Goods are often produced and consumed in small quantities, hidden in boarding houses, houses or rented cold storages, making inspection and supervision work difficult. This is a serious issue, requiring long-term involvement of all levels, sectors, functional forces and the whole society. See more...

Ho Chi Minh City only has 28% of inpatients enlisting in public hospitals

Faced with the increasing healthcare needs of a megacity, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has developed a specific policy project to support the training of resident doctors (BSNT), expected to be submitted to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for promulgation in the near future.

The project aims to remove financial barriers, attract and effectively use the team of resident doctors, especially in key specialties such as cardiology, emergency resuscitation, neurology, tuberculosis, pathology, forensic medicine, pediatric surgery.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, the tuition fee for inpatient doctor training is currently about 80 million VND/year, becoming a burden for many young doctors. During the training period, inpatient doctors work full-time in clinics at hospitals but have almost no stable income, while living costs in urban areas are very high, making it difficult for many essential specialties to attract human resources.
