Ho Chi Minh City Chairman requests breakthrough solutions to combat traffic jams and flooding
The above request was raised by Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc at the second (expanded) Conference of the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, term I, 2025 - 2030, held on the morning of January 16.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc said that in 2025, the City will continue to maintain a high economic growth rate, creating an important foundation for implementing development goals in the coming period.
Notably, on January 15, Ho Chi Minh City simultaneously started and unveiled 4 key projects with a total investment of nearly 240,000 billion VND (more than 9 billion USD). See more...
Ho Chi Minh City launches campaign to restore order on roads and sidewalks
On January 16, at Van Lang Park (An Dong ward), the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Safety Board organized a launching ceremony to inspect and handle the situation of encroachment and illegal use of roads and sidewalks; re-establish public order, urban order and general review and handling of illegal transport business activities in Ho Chi Minh City in 2026.

100 technology motorbike taxi union members receive free medical examination
100 members of the Binh Tan Technology Motorbike Taxi Union (Binh Tri Dong ward, Ho Chi Minh City) were organized by the union in coordination with Quoc Anh General Hospital for free medical examinations on January 16.
Union members were examined in 5 specialties, blood sugar quantitative, total urine analysis, total peripheral blood cell analysis, blood tests to assess liver function and detect liver damage due to disease (hepatitis, cirrhosis) and blood tests to detect damage in the liver and other organs (heart, muscles and bones).
