15-year traffic jam at the eastern gateway of Ho Chi Minh City is about to be removed
The bottleneck on National Highway 1, the section of the new Mien Dong Bus Station - Tan Van, is expected to be expanded from the end of 2026, helping to eliminate traffic jams at the eastern gateway.
The project to expand Hanoi Highway and National Highway 1 has a total length of 15.7 km, from Saigon Bridge to Tan Van intersection, started in April 2010 in the form of BOT (build - operate - transfer). The entire route is divided into 3 sections, with a scale of 12 to 16 lanes.
To date, section 1 (Saigon - Binh Thai bridge) and section 2 (Binh Thai - Station 2 intersection) have been basically completed, put into operation and have shown clear effectiveness in reducing congestion and improving traffic on the city's eastern main traffic axis. See more...

Reunion Tet comes to workers in Bau Bang commune, Ho Chi Minh City

Fall of canal banks in Ho Chi Minh City
On January 18, a section of road near the canal bank on Ba Dinh street, Chanh Hung ward, Ho Chi Minh City suddenly seriously subsided, stretching nearly 50 m, causing functional forces to urgently blockade to ensure safety for people.

Social housing construction still faces many bottlenecks
