These are projects that the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction has included in the list of projects expected to be implemented in the 2026 - 2030 period according to urgent requirements that need to be implemented immediately.
Steel overpass at Nga 6 Cong Truong Dan Chu
The Department of Construction proposes to build a steel overpass in the direction of Vo Thi Sau street to 3 Thang 2 street at Nga 6 Cong Truong Dan Chu intersection. The project is about 253 m long, 8 m wide, with a total estimated investment of more than 281 billion VND.

Nga 6 Cong Truong Dan Chu is the intersection of the roads: 3 Thang 2, Vo Thi Sau, Cach Mang Thang 8, Ly Chinh Thang, Nguyen Phuc Nguyen, Nguyen Thuong Hien.
This is an area with very large traffic volume, often experiencing congestion, especially during peak hours. Currently, the average traffic speed through the intersection is only about 15 km/h.
The investment in overpasses aims to contribute to solving prolonged traffic jams in this area, while increasing traffic capacity on main roads, meeting the increasing demand for freight and travel of people.
Steel overpass at 3 Thang 2 - Le Dai Hanh intersection
The Department of Construction proposes to build a direct steel overpass on Le Dai Hanh street and 3 Thang 2 street with a length of about 480 m, width of 9 m, arranged with 2 mixed lanes. Total estimated investment is more than 404 billion VND.
Currently, this intersection is a 6-way intersection, intersecting 3 Thang 2, Le Dai Hanh, Lanh Binh Thang and Pho Co Dieu streets, connecting many residential areas, commercial centers and major utilities of the inner city area. Due to high traffic density, the area often experiences serious congestion. The average traffic speed through the intersection is only about 15 km/h.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction, investing in steel overpasses here is necessary and urgent to reduce traffic pressure, increase connectivity between central areas and improve traffic speed through intersections.
Steel overpass at 3 Thang 2 - Ly Thuong Kiet intersection
The Department of Construction also plans to build a direct steel overpass on Ly Thuong Kiet street and 3 Thang 2 street. The project has a length of about 320 m, arranged with 2 mixed lanes, with a total investment of more than 269 billion VND.
This intersection is located on an important connecting axis from the city center to Tan Son Nhat airport and the western area of Ho Chi Minh City. Due to large traffic volume, the area is often overloaded during peak hours, with an average traffic speed of only about 15 km/h.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction assesses that investing in overpasses here will contribute to reducing congestion, increasing inter-regional connectivity and gradually completing the city's urban transport infrastructure network.
