On the afternoon of March 12, at the headquarters of Ho Chi Minh City Police, the City Party Committee and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City held an awards ceremony for collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the fight against crime.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Lieutenant General Le Hong Nam, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police, and comrades in the Board of Directors of Ho Chi Minh City Police.
At the ceremony, the leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department reported on the outstanding feats of the Ho Chi Minh City Police force. In particular, special emphasis was placed on the Ho Chi Minh City Police having focused on operating the organization of the apparatus and new functions and tasks according to the motto "Comprehensive province, strong commune, stick to the grassroots", ensuring efficiency, effectiveness and efficiency in work.
One of the outstanding feats to be honored is the quick discovery of a Chinese criminal gang that illegally detained people and extorted property worth more than 10 billion VND. After nearly 12 hours of investigation, the Criminal Police Department (CSHS) successfully rescued the victim and arrested all subjects in this transnational criminal gang.
On March 6, the Criminal Police Department continued to make great strides when quickly discovering the "Murder" case that occurred on Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, District 3. The victim was a young Korean man who was murdered. After only 7 hours, the Criminal Police arrested the perpetrator, Kim Ki Tae, also a Korean national, while he was hiding in Binh Duong province.
In addition to the achievements of the Criminal Police Department, the Drug Police Department (PC04) of Ho Chi Minh City Police has also made many outstanding achievements in dismantling transnational drug crime rings. In a short time, PC04 dismantled 2 major drug rings, seized more than 60 kg of drugs and arrested 58 subjects.
For these outstanding achievements, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee decided to award Certificates of Merit and the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee decided to reward 11 collectives and 15 individuals.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc commended and congratulated the achievements of the Ho Chi Minh City Police force. These feats have contributed to further embellishing the tradition of the Ho Chi Minh City Police force, enhancing the position of the force in the hearts of people and international friends, Mr. Duoc emphasized.
