Lao Cai - The Sa Pa BOT toll station area has reopened to traffic after half a year of suspension due to landslides.

On the afternoon of January 16, informing Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, a representative of Sa Pa BOT Investment Joint Stock Company said that the Sa Pa - Lao Cai toll station, the section leading through Mong Sen bridge, has just been opened to traffic.

In the immediate future, we will clear the road and allow vehicles to pass, not collect tolls. Only when there is a document from Lao Cai province will we officially resume toll collection," said a representative of Sa Pa BOT Investment Joint Stock Company.

Previously, in early July 2025, the impact of storms and floods caused a serious landslide at the Lao Cai - Sa Pa BOT toll station, burying a large section of road, causing traffic disruption.

Many months have passed, this area is still closed, vehicles cannot move on Provincial Road 155 through Mong Sen bridge due to road prohibitions to ensure safety.
