At around 10:30 a.m. on May 2, the Rehabilitation of Buddha Shakyamuni was officially sent to the Vietnam Buddhist Academy of Ho Chi Minh City (Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City). The event took place in a solemn and emotional atmosphere, with the presence of hundreds of monks and Buddhists, representatives of Vietnamese authorities, representatives of the working group of India and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.
Previously, on the morning of May 2, Khong Phat's Compass arrived at Tan Son Nhat International Airport (HCMC) after a long journey from the capital New Delhi (India), as scheduled.
The education of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha led by Venerable Thich Tri Quang - Venerable Thich Thien Nhon - Deputy convert to the evidence Council, Chairman of the Triental Council - solemnly received the court's amnesty in the solemn ceremony.
During the solemn Buddha's Supper, the hospitality was invited by the Indian Government's military aircraft to the airport VIP lounge.
On the afternoon of May 1, at the National Museum of India in New Delhi, a delegation of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha held a worshiping ceremony and performed the Khung Xa Festival.
Buddha's benefits were then sent to the military transport of the Indian Government - a special form of transportation, equivalent to a national head-to-head trip under the country's diplomatic regulations.
As soon as the plane landed at Tan Son Nhat airport, the rainbow group solemnly welcomed and welcomed Xai to Ho Chi Minh City Buddhist Academy - the first stop in Vietnam, as part of the journey to serve the United Nations Vesak 2025.
At the Academy grounds, the Buddha's Rewards are led in a traditional Buddhist ceremony. Many Buddhists have been present since early morning to wait, many people are moved to see with their own eyes the Prophecy of the Buddha - the sacred and noble symbol in Buddhism.
The relics of Buddha Shakyamuni are currently displayed at the National Museum of New Delhi (India). This is a national treasure of India, discovered in 1898 by a British archaeologist.
According to the Indian Government, coffee is only allowed abroad through special diplomatic agreements, equivalent to a trip by a head of state. Since the end of December 2024, the Vietnamese Government has sent an official dispatch and after the exchange process, the Indian side has agreed to bring Khasi to Vietnam to serve the 2025 Vesak Festival.
To ensure absolute safety for the Cave, the Indian working group including representatives of the Ministry of Culture, archaeologists, and officials of the National Museum arrived in Vietnam many days in advance to check environmental factors, security, and conservation conditions.
According to the plan, the Buddha's Rewards will be honored at the Vietnam Buddhist Academy in Ho Chi Minh City from May 2 to 8. After that, Xa Viet will be taken to other places including Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area (8 13.9), Quan Su Pagoda - the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Hanoi (13-16.5), and Tam Chuc Pagoda, Ha Nam Province (17-21.5).
The visit of the Buddha's hand to Vietnam is not only a major spiritual event for monks and Buddhists nationwide, but also demonstrates the special friendship and cultural cooperation between Vietnam and India - two countries with a deep and long-standing spiritual foundation.
