According to Lao Dong newspaper reporters at the construction site of the Ring Road 4 parallel road of the Capital Region through Dan Phuong district (Hanoi) at the end of December, the route has revealed its shape when viewed from above.
The closer to the end of the year, the more urgent the construction atmosphere is. The construction site has almost no time to stop the sound of machines.
At package 9 - construction of the Ring Road 4 parallel road section through Dan Phuong and Hoai Duc (21km) constructed by contractor Vinaconex, about 100 locomotives, equipment and 200 officers, engineers and workers were mobilized to work day and night, "3 shifts, 4 teams" at the project site.
Mr. Hoang Trong Hai - Commander of construction team No. 1 - said that up to now, package No. 9 implemented by Vinaconex has reached over 43% of the contract value.
The contractor has now paved about 8km of concrete along the entire route, and the remaining sections are being paved with crushed stone. Some bridge sections across the canal are also being implemented by the contractor.
According to Mr. Hai, for key projects such as Ring Road 4, the closer to the end of the year, the greater the workload, so staff also have to work overtime more.
"Although it is difficult, the contractor, workers and engineers are all united and determined to speed up the project's progress," said Mr. Hai.
During the 2025 New Year, construction activities at the site will continue as usual. As for the Lunar New Year, although there is no specific plan, everyone is ready to stay at the site and work through the Tet holiday to complete the parallel road project in 2025.
At package No. 8 - construction of the parallel road of Ring Road 4 through Soc Son and Me Linh districts (13km), the representative of the contractor Truong Son Corporation said that up to this point, the package has completed about 64% of the construction volume, ensuring progress compared to the plan.
"With the sections that have cleared land, the joint venture contractor is committed to completing the construction of the Ring Road 4 parallel road project through Me Linh and Soc Son in June 2025," the contractor representative affirmed.
Similarly, package 10 through Ha Dong district and Thanh Oai district, package 11 through Thuong Tin are also being implemented by contractors in many construction phases simultaneously, ensuring the project's progress.
Regarding the site clearance work of the Ring Road 4 project through Hanoi, up to now, the Hanoi Traffic Construction Project Management Board has received 776.82/786.2 hectares of site, equivalent to 48.35km/52.73km, reaching 91.7%.
Currently, the project still has 8.3% of the land area, equivalent to more than 4.4km in length, that has not been cleared. There are still many interruptions and delays along the entire construction route.
Representatives of some districts where Ring Road 4 runs through said that most of the agricultural land has been cleared. The project site that has not been cleared yet is related to residential land, old graves and the relocation of high-voltage power line infrastructure.
Hanoi strives to complete site clearance for the project before the Lunar New Year 2025.
After about 17 months since the commencement of the Ring Road 4 project, 4 construction packages in Hanoi have been simultaneously deployed on a route length of 48.35km with 32 construction points (23 road points, 9 bridge points).
The output to date is about 1,810/4,205 billion VND (reaching 43.04% of the contract value and 100% of the 2024 plan). Hanoi strives to complete the parallel road project in the fourth quarter of 2025.
