According to Lao Dong reporters on the evening of December 5, in the area near Thu Thiem tunnel towards Mai Chi Tho street (formerly Thu Duc city), deep flooding occurred due to the impact of high tides.

The flooded road happened right at rush hour, causing traffic congestion for kilometers, making it very difficult for people to move. The authorities had to be present at the scene to regulate traffic and not allow vehicles to pass through deeply flooded areas to ensure safety.
