Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper on August 29, Ms. B.T. T (in Yen Thuy commune, Phu Tho province) said that she had just received more than 11 million VND in village head allowance for July and August.
Ms. T said that when the 2 villages merged, she once intended to quit. However, after being encouraged by local government officials, she decided to continue her work.
After the merger, the village in charge of her has more than 306 households. The area has doubled. The workload is therefore also more.
According to Ms. T, the new job has added pressure, but the village officials are basically excited when the regime is adjusted. The new allowance level helps them feel more secure when performing their duties.
However, Ms. T believes that current work is increasingly associated with digital transformation. She and some village officials want to be provided with computers and trained in usage skills.
Having a computer and being specifically guided will help us process work faster, especially tasks related to records, reports and digital transformation," Ms. T shared.
In addition to the task of village head, Ms. T is completing her profile to become a village midwife. This helps to take advantage of time and create conditions for her to continue to stick with her work at the grassroots level.
According to Yen Thuy Commune People's Committee, from July 2026, the locality has announced resolutions and decisions on establishing villages, Party cells and consolidating personnel after arrangement.
According to the decision, Yen Thuy commune reduced from 34 hamlets and neighborhoods to 19 villages. The new units include Tien Phong, Lac Thinh, Muong Ram, Pho Sau, Dinh Xam, Yen Lac, Ca, Thanh Binh, Hang Tram, Yen Binh, Yen Son, Tan Yen, Trung Ha, Yen Hoa, Tay Bac, Tan Vuong, Lanh Anh, Thong Nhat and Yen Phong.
The villages after arrangement all meet or exceed the standards for scale according to regulations.
From July 2026, Resolution No. 13/2026/NQ-HĐND of the Phu Tho Provincial People's Council takes effect. New policy adjusts the allowance level for non-specialized workers and people participating in activities in villages and residential groups.
Accordingly, Party Cell Secretaries and Village Heads in special or large-scale areas are entitled to 5.566 million VND/month. The remaining areas apply the level of 4.554 million VND/month.
The Head of the Fatherland Front Work Committee is entitled to VND 4.301 million or VND 3.542 million/month, depending on the area group.
Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell and 7 other positions are supported with 759,000 VND or 632,500 VND/month.
Co-employees are entitled to 100% of the allowance level of the concurrent title. If one person concurrently holds multiple titles, the benefit level is calculated according to the title with the highest allowance.
