On the morning of May 21, at Ba Doc Martyrs' Cemetery (Bo Trach District), Steering Committee 515 of Quang Binh Province held a memorial service and burial ceremony for the remains of 17 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Laos.
Previously, on the afternoon of May 20, at Cha Lo International Border Gate (Dan Hoa Commune, Minh Hoa District), the ceremony to receive the remains of martyrs was held in a sacred and emotional atmosphere.
17 remains were gathered in Kham Muon province, Laos during the 2024 - 2025 dry season, by officers and soldiers of Team 589 - Quang Binh Provincial Military Command after many months of searching and verifying information with close coordination from the government and people of the neighboring country.

At the memorial service on the morning of May 21, leaders of Quang Binh province, representatives of departments, branches, and a large number of cadres and people offered incense and flowers to commemorate the heroic martyrs.
After the memorial service, the remains of the martyrs were buried at Ba Doc Martyrs' Cemetery - the resting place of thousands of martyrs who sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and to fulfill noble international duties.
The delegation of Kham Muon province (Laos) was also present, expressing their deep gratitude to those who sacrificed for the peace and friendship between the two peoples.
This is not only an annual political ceremony but also a sacred reminder of the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" of the Vietnamese people.
