Receiving 17 remains of martyrs who died in Laos to Quang Binh

Quang Binh - The remains of 17 Vietnamese volunteer martyrs and experts who died in Kham Muon province (Laos) were welcomed back to their country on May 20.

The reception ceremony was organized by the Steering Committee of 515 Quang Binh Province at Cha Lo International Border Gate (Dan Hoa Commune, Minh Hoa District) with the participation of Mr. Vong-Dinh Chit-Nha-Nha-Permanent Deputy Secretary of Kham Mu Mu Provincial Party Committee (Laos), and representatives of Quang Binh province, including Mr. Hoang Xuan Tan-Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee of 515 provinces, and the representatives of the Department of the Department of the Local Forces, the Department of the Department of the Local Persist.

During the 2024-2025 dry season, Team 589 under the Quang Binh Provincial Military Command collected 17 martyrs' remains. This result was achieved thanks to the close coordination and dedicated support of the Party Committee, government, people and armed forces of Kham Muon province - where many fierce matches of the Vietnamese volunteer army took place during the resistance war.

At the ceremony, representatives of the two provinces of Quang Binh - Kham Muon, along with cadres, soldiers and people, offered incense and flowers in memory, expressing their deep gratitude for the great contributions of the heroic martyrs in the struggle for national independence and special solidarity between the two countries of Vietnam and Laos.

According to the plan, the burial of 17 martyrs' remains will be held at Ba Doc Martyrs' Cemetery, Ly Trach Commune, Bo Trach District on May 21, 2025. This is an activity of profound political and humanitarian significance, demonstrating the morality of "Remembering the source of drinking water" and the close affection between the two peoples of Vietnam and Laos.
