Lang Son - Ban Lai reservoir (Khuat Xa commune) will start releasing floodwater from 12 noon on September 30.

Information from Loc Binh Irrigation Works Exploitation Enterprise, from 12 noon today (September 30), the unit will conduct the discharge to regulate Ban Lai reservoir (Khuat Xa commune) according to the operating process to ensure the safety of the project and the downstream area.

According to the management unit, the storms in recent days have been complicated, with heavy rain causing the lake's water level to rise. Currently, the lake's water level is 304.86 m, while the overflow elevation is 294 m.

To ensure safety, a deep spillway has been opened with a flow rate of over 194 m3/s. The overflow will significantly change the water level downstream.

The irrigation sector warned that there will continue to be heavy rain in the province in the coming days.

Therefore, authorities at all levels, authorities and people, especially in the downstream area, need to closely monitor weather and water levels, proactively deploy preventive measures and minimize risks to people and property.
