According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, on National Highway 32C, the section passing through Hong Ha 2 Street, Thanh Mieu Ward, there were many "potholes" along with deep subsidence, many sections of the road surface were peeling, causing traffic safety problems.
When it rains or in the evening, these deep holes accidentally create "traps" for people and vehicles traveling through this area.
Mr. Nguyen Van Manh - a resident who regularly takes his young children to school on this route said: "I have seen many cases of motorbikes going through this area and slipping and falling. It is muddy on rainy days and sunny days, the traffic of trucks is heavy, causing dust to fly everywhere".
National Highway 32C is a vital traffic route passing through Thanh Mieu Ward, Phu Tho Province connecting with National Highway 2 towards Vinh Yen Ward, Phuc Yen Ward to Hanoi City. And in the opposite direction, it passes through Thanh Mieu ward to Lam Thao area, Tam Nong, Phu Tho province.
Of which, the most seriously degraded area is the section passing through Hong Ha 2 Street, Thanh Mieu Ward, about 100m long.
This road section is crowded with vehicles every day in the early morning and late afternoon.
People hope that all levels and sectors will pay attention and overcome this, in order to facilitate the travel of people and vehicles through the area.
Mr. Hoang Trung Anh, a long-distance driver specializing in the Phu Tho - Hai Phong route, said that he drives through this route every week. Recently, the deterioration has become more serious, making travel very difficult, especially during rush hours, posing many potential risks to traffic safety.
"I really hope that the authorities will soon repair the road to ensure the trade of goods and safety for the people" - driver Hoang Trung Anh shared.
Talking to reporters, Mr. Duong Ba Nguyen - Vice Chairman of Thanh Mieu Ward People's Committee also admitted that National Highway 32 through the ward has seriously degraded.
"The locality is now fully aware of the deterioration of the road. We are conducting specific inspections to report to all levels and sectors to soon have a repair and upgrade plan to ensure travel needs and safety for people" - Mr. Nguyen said.
