According to information from the Traffic Police Department (Traffic Police, Ministry of Public Security), people who have completed the procedures, are waiting for the issuance, renewal of driving licenses (GPLX) or have not received a physical driving license can still drive vehicles on the road.
Accordingly, for the above cases, when driving a vehicle, the traffic police force controls it, as follows:
In case they do not carry a physical driving license (ard- version - PV), the driver and vehicle owner can present the driving license via the VNeID application and the traffic police officer will conduct the inspection and control of the driving license, as well as related documents integrated on the VNeID application.
In case the driver is in the process of issuing or changing the driving license, provide the ID card number or the old driving license number (in PET material), the traffic police officer will conduct a search on the professional system to compare information.
In case people have completed the procedures for granting, exchanging, or re-issuing driving licenses but have not been updated on the above application platforms because there is not enough time (3 working days), the traffic police will base on the appointment letter, photocopy, and driving license information on the applications to determine whether the driver has a driving license or not.
According to the Traffic Police Department, the issuance and exchange of driving licenses have been carried out in person or online.
To avoid time and convenience in performing administrative procedures, people who need to issue and change their driving licenses should complete the procedure online through the National Public Service Portal, address: https://dvc4.gplx.gov.vn/p/home/dvc-trang-chu.html.
The Traffic Police Department recommends that people absolutely do not provide personal information to anyone they do not know.
In particular, do not follow the request of strangers to contact by phone number to call claiming to be police officers, to instruct on installing applications, activating accounts, application software, "strange links", or request money transfers.
Do not access strange website addresses, do not install "strange software", from "strange links", from unofficial application warehouses, unknown origins, software that requires high access requirements to user information.
