After people reported and discussed with Lao Dong, Hanoi Electricity Corporation (EVN Hanoi) stepped in to inspect and verify.
Accordingly, on September 5, Tu Liem Power Company (under Hanoi Power Corporation) conducted a periodic inspection of the power measurement system according to customer's request.
The inspection results showed that at the time of implementation, the electrical meters were operating normally, and the parameters were clearly displayed. The meter and the power lines behind the meter do not have any errors or electrical leaks.

Although Tu Liem Electricity Company concluded that the electricity meter was operating normally, Mr. Nguyen Thien Chuan said that the 2-month electricity bill match, not at all, with many unusual signs. Therefore, he said he would take the meter for inspection.
Previously, speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Nguyen Thien Chuan - a resident of building 2402B, Gemek II apartment building, An Khanh commune (Hanoi city) said that in August, he was often away from home, so he consumed very little electricity. The weather is cool, equipment that uses a lot of electricity such as air conditioners is also limited. However, his family's electricity bill last month was still at an unusually high level.
"The amount of electricity consumed cannot be as large as this. I live alone, normally the electricity bill only fluctuates between 200,000 - 300,000 VND, but in recent months it has continuously increased. This month is 678,860 VND", Mr. Chuan reflected.
Notably, according to Mr. Chuan, the electricity index in the August and July invoices are completely matched, not slightly different. "I see this as an unusual sign, as if the copy was being copied. I reported this to Hoai Duc Electricity and they said they would conduct an inspection," he said.
