How to transport passengers in the Northwest during the National Day holiday

Yên San |

During the National Day holiday on September 2 this year, many bus companies in the Northwest have kept ticket prices stable, some have increased their trips to meet the travel needs of the people.

According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, on September 1, most bus companies in Phu Tho, Dien Bien, Son La... kept ticket prices stable. Some routes such as Dien Bien - Hanoi; Son La - Hanoi and vice versa have increased trips compared to normal days to serve the travel needs of people.

Talking to reporters, Mr. Trinh Quang Hung - Director of Song Da Transport Cooperative (the unit operating the old Hanoi - Luong Son - Hoa Binh route) said that in recent days, the number of bus passengers has been very small. People mainly choose personal vehicles, rent a contract car or take a tour.

"The unit has not yet planned to increase flights and ticket prices will remain unchanged" - Mr. Hung informed.

For the Phu Tho - Hanoi route, a representative of Binh An bus company said that the bus company has a backup plan to increase the number of vehicles when there are many customers, while maintaining the price of 60,000 VND/ticket.

"The biggest difficulty during these holidays is the congestion at Hanoi gateways, making it difficult for vehicles to turn around and easily increase trips. Since the afternoon of August 29, we have mobilized all vehicles to operate at full capacity" - a representative of Binh An bus company shared.

To ensure safety and meet the travel needs of people, many passenger transport businesses have prepared additional vehicles if travel needs exceed the plan.

Bus companies also disseminate that drivers should absolutely not use alcohol, not carry more seats and keep ticket prices stable.

Mr. Van - representative of Song Ma bus company (Mong Cai - Son La route) said that in the days before the festival, the number of passengers increased dramatically, so the unit had to increase the number of trips by 2 trips per day.

"To make passengers feel secure when traveling, we still keep the ticket price at 550,000 VND/ticket" - Mr. Van said.

On the Hanoi - Moc Chau - Son La combined bus route, driver Tuan, a 16-seat driver, said: "This year's September 2 holiday coincides with Moc Chau Culture - Tourism Week, so the number of visitors has increased sharply. Therefore, the unit has added more trips, on average about 90 minutes for one bus to depart, while keeping the ticket price at 550,000 VND".

Mr. Giang - a driver of Hai Dinh bus company (Dien Bien - Thanh Hoa route) also shared that previously, during holidays and Tet, bus companies often increased trips to meet travel needs.

However, in recent years, the number of passengers has decreased, many trips do not have enough passengers for the minimum number of passengers. However, the unit still proactively developed a backup plan and kept the ticket price of 400,000 VND unchanged as usual.
