During the holidays of April 30 - May 1, at the headquarters of the Traffic Police Team (CSGT) - Traffic Police Department, Hanoi City Police, many people came to work to work on violations that were recorded through the surveillance camera system and professional equipment of the functional forces.
Most of them are cases of motorbikes violating traffic laws.
According to Major Hoang Van Binh - Deputy Captain of Road Traffic Police Team No. 6, in recent times, the unit has increased the application of technology to fine, not only for cars but also for motorbikes. Major Binh commented that traffic violations are currently showing signs of increasing, especially for motorcyclists, with main violations such as going in the wrong direction, running red lights, driving on the sidewalk, etc.
"At first, Decree 168 came into effect, the fines for many acts were increased, along with the drastic participation of the authorities in general and the traffic police in particular, creating very good results, the traffic behavior of the majority of people has changed a lot in a positive direction.
However, through the recent patrol and control process, the rate of violations has shown signs of increasing," said Major Hoang Van Binh.

At the police headquarters, violators were shown photos of their violations, all were "disguised and disguised", admitting their actions.
Mr. P.V.L (born in 1974, a motorbike taxi driver) received a notice of a fine for "not obeying traffic light signals", the location of the violation at the Ho Tung Mau - Mai Dich intersection (Cau Giay District).
Working with the authorities, Mr. L was shown photos of the violation and admitted to his actions. Notably, according to the image from the Traffic Police's professional recording device, at the time of the photo of L violating, the intersection was very airy.
"At that time, I was driving at a slow speed, but I did not pay attention to the light signal, so I violated. I also didn't think my behavior would be recorded. After today, I will learn from experience and pay attention to observation, especially when going to intersections," Mr. P.V.L shared.

Most people who ride motorbikes to handle fines do not think that their behavior will be recorded to handle fines. However, according to the traffic police force, violations can be recorded in many forms, such as traffic surveillance cameras, professional equipment of traffic police or reflections from people.
All violations are verified before issuing a notice of fines. In addition, people who come to work are allowed to review the image of the violation.

"The advantage of the surveillance camera system is very clear, but being fixed at some routes and buses is also a weakness in ensuring traffic order and safety. From practical experience along with closely following the area, the unit has now increased the number of forces using specialized recording equipment to control in other areas", Major Hoang Van Binh shared.
The Traffic Police force stated that increasing fines for motorbikes is not simply a measure to handle violations. More importantly, this form of handling also contributes to changing habits, forming awareness of voluntarily complying with traffic laws for all people.
In addition to handling through professional equipment, people who detect violations of traffic safety order can send recorded photos and video clips to the Zalo page "Hanoi Traffic Police Department" or call the hotline number 0243.942.4451 to report. The Traffic Police Department will receive, verify and handle it in accordance with legal regulations.
