On the afternoon of December 29, the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of the Ministry of Public Security informed that the Traffic Police of units and localities have actively and simultaneously launched a campaign to handle the topic of alcohol concentration on traffic routes within a certain time frame.
The Traffic Police force of 34/34 localities continued to simultaneously control alcohol concentration for drivers participating in traffic from 12:00 - 14:00 and from 19:00 - 24:00 on December 28.
The traffic police force has controlled 86,137 vehicles (2,469 passenger cars, 5,146 trucks, 16,086 cars, 60,482 motorbikes, 16 specialized cars, 1,938 rudimentary vehicles and other vehicles); detected and made records of handling 2,576 cases of alcohol concentration violations, including 8 trucks, 41 cars, 2,464 motorbikes...
Regarding the age of violation, there are 21 cases under 19 years old (accounting for 0.82%); from 18-35 years old there are 686 cases (accounting for 26.63%); from 36-55 years old there are 1,550 cases (accounting for 60.17%); over 55 years old there are 319 cases (accounting for 12.38%). Among them, there are 23 women driving motorbikes violating alcohol concentration.
The fact that national traffic police jointly launched a campaign to control a specialized violation at the same time nationwide will be a regular and continuous task, without interruption, even during holidays and Tet, until the habit of "when you have drunk alcohol, don't drive" is established.
Also on December 28, from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM, the traffic police force stopped and controlled 9,749 vehicles (7,337 trucks; 2,412 tractor-trailers), made records of handling 672 cases (614 trucks; 58 tractor-trailers) and 69 vehicle owners, deducted driver's license points in 86 cases; revoked badges in 21 cases; temporarily seized 5 vehicles.
In which, functional forces have focused on handling a number of acts. Regarding violations of overloading, there are 51 cases; Carrying oversized goods: 21 cases; Violating the expansion of truck beds 5 cases;
Violations of alcohol concentration have 2 cases (Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang); Violations of speed have 104 cases; Violations of road section, lane 32 cases; Entering prohibited roads, prohibited hours, prohibited areas 12 cases;
Stopping and parking in violation of regulations in 135 cases; Diversion without signal in 37 cases; Not turning on the lights according to regulations in 2 cases;
Violations of driver's licenses have 2 cases; Violations of vehicle registration have 4 cases; Violations of inspection have 7 cases; Violations of badges have 3 cases; Other violations: 287 cases.
Traffic accidents related to cargo trucks during the time of issuing control orders (4:30 PM - 7:00 PM): 1 incident occurred, killing 1 person (Tuyen Quang).
