Due to the impact of storm No. 5, on the evening of August 25, a major thunderstorm occurred in Ly Thuong Kiet ward, Ninh Binh province; causing serious damage to people and property.
The storm caused Ms. D.T.D (born in 23, Group 2, Ly Thuong Kiet Ward) to die due to a collapsed house. A series of trees along the road were broken, fell, or uprooted, signs, corrugated iron roofs, and advertising signs of many households had their roofs blown off and flew onto the road; more than 300 households along National Highway 21A were severely damaged and caused local power outages in some areas.
Timely sharing with the family of the victim who died due to thunderstorms and tornadoes; Ninh Binh Provincial Police have presented 20 million VND in support funds, Ly Thuong Kiet Ward People's Committee has presented 10 million VND to the family.

To continue to overcome the damage caused by the storm, the Provincial Police Director directed forces to urgently do a good job of rescue and relief work, support people in clearing items and overcoming the consequences caused by natural disasters, especially clearing houses, rebuilding roofs, cutting down fallen trees, restoring essential infrastructure, ensuring absolute safety in terms of security, order, and traffic safety according to the "4 on-site" motto. Coordinate with medical facilities to treat and care for people injured by the impact of thunderstorms...
In addition, the police force increased patrols, ensured security and order in affected areas, promptly detected and prevented acts of taking advantage of natural disasters to steal, causing disorder.
