Regarding the fire that occurred at the 5th floor apartment building of an apartment building in the area, in an exchange with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Le Ngoc Dung - Chairman of Long Truong Ward People's Committee said that the local government is closely coordinating with relevant parties to support the victims and clarify the incident.
Mr. Dung confirmed that 3 people were burned and are being actively treated at the hospital.

According to Mr. Dung, immediately after the incident occurred, the Ward People's Committee established a working group to come to the hospital to grasp the situation, visit and encourage the family. "Currently, the patients are in intensive treatment and the family is also very confused to take care of them, so the ward prioritizes visiting and sharing in a timely manner. We have an initial care and support plan and will continue to closely monitor the situation to have further support steps depending on the recovery of the victims," Mr. Dung shared.
Previously, at about 4 am, the fire broke out from a 46 m2 apartment. At this time, the 32-year-old mother and her two daughters, 6 and 9 years old, were sleeping in the room. The fire broke out in the living room area, near the entrance, quickly spreading to furniture, causing the mother and children to be trapped inside.


The fire alarm sounded, causing many residents to panic and evacuate to a safe area. Local forces extinguished the fire and took the victims to the hospital for emergency treatment about 3 km away.
The apartment where the fire occurred has a bedroom; outside the living room are tables and chairs and a wooden bunk bed.
Currently, the cause of the fire is being further investigated and clarified by the police agency.
As Lao Dong Newspaper reported, on the morning of January 24, Le Van Thinh Hospital provided emergency care for 3 patients who were all victims of the fire at EhomeS apartment building, Long Truong ward, Ho Chi Minh City. The first patient is L.T.N. (born in 2020, female), diagnosed with acute respiratory failure due to smoke inhalation, accompanied by burns to the thighs, calves and feet on both sides, level IIA.
The second patient is L.N.L.D. (born in 2017, female), admitted to the hospital in a state of post-cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest due to acute respiratory failure due to smoke inhalation, accompanied by degree IIA calf burns on both sides. In the Emergency Department, doctors urgently performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation. After the pulse returned, the patient was transferred to Children's Hospital 1 for continued intensive treatment.
The third patient is N.T.L. (born in 1994, female), who was admitted to the hospital in a state of post-heart arrest, respiratory arrest due to acute respiratory failure due to smoke inhalation, accompanied by burns in the armpit - forearm, lower half of the thigh and calf on both sides. The patient was closely monitored for respiratory, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and transferred to Cho Ray Hospital for further treatment.
