Regarding the case of Mr. L.V.L (resident in Son La), who was found to have an alcohol concentration of up to 4.270 mg/l of breath (more than 10 times the highest level according to regulations), on the evening of September 8, the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of the Ministry of Public Security informed that functional forces had verified the process of using alcohol and beer of this person before driving.
Accordingly, through verification, functional forces learned that from September 2nd to September 4th, Mr. L.V.L (residing in Son La) had several drinking sessions.
At about 7 am on September 4, Mr. L and a friend living in the same village went to breakfast. During the meal, each person drank 2 bottles of white wine, a type of brewed wine, with a capacity of 500 ml/bottle, and drank 3 more cans of beer.
After that, Mr. L drove his motorbike home. On the way from the breakfast shop to his house about 200m away, he met a traffic police team in Song Ma area conducting an alcohol concentration test in his breath.
As a result, the alcohol concentration in Mr. L's breath was 4.270 mg/l of breath. In addition to violating the alcohol concentration, Mr. L also did not have a driver's license.
According to regulations, for the act of driving a vehicle on the road with an alcohol concentration in his breath exceeding 0.4 mg/l of breath, Mr. L was fined from 8-10 million VND and had his driving license revoked for 23 months.
Because Mr. L did not have a driver's license, the revocation of the license was not carried out.
For the act of not having a driver's license, if a motorcycle has a cylinder capacity of up to 125 cm3 or an electric motor power of up to 11 kW, the fine applied is 2-4 million VND.
The Traffic Police Department recommends that people absolutely do not drive vehicles after using alcohol or beer, even when traveling only a short distance.
