On January 27, the Director of Bach Ma National Park said that after historic heavy rains in 2025, Bach Ma National Park (NP) recorded serious damage on many forest protection patrol routes. Landslides at km 6, km 9+500 and km 12 on the route from National Highway 1A to Bach Ma peak, along with many locations on the La Son - Tuy Loan expressway, have caused division and directly affected forest protection and forest fire prevention and fighting (PCCCR).
Specifically, at km 12+00 on the road from National Highway 1A to Bach Ma peak, serious landslides have damaged the positive taluy, road surface and negative taluy, the affected area is up to more than 100m, about 30 - 50m deep. On the official road along the La Son - Tuy Loan expressway, more than 10 locations have landslides through streams, affecting a total length of about 400m. The area of natural forest landslides is up to 34.6 ha at 35 points.

To overcome the situation, Bach Ma NP directed the Forest Ranger force to withdraw from the dangerous forest area, implement preliminary measures such as clearing soil and rocks, cutting down fallen trees, clearing blocked culverts and installing warning signs in landslide areas. At the same time, report to Hue City People's Committee on the damage situation after rain and floods and propose urgent repair plans.
With the serious level of damage, the construction of the bridge at km 12+00 has become an urgent requirement. The inspection team requested the Department of Construction to advise the City People's Committee to have a document sent to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to soon allocate funds for remediation.
In addition, Bach Ma NP also proposed to submit to competent authorities to invest in a simple cable car system to transport necessities and forest fire prevention and fighting equipment, ensuring that forest protection work is not interrupted.
